Ok. If you are reading this, Windows is shot. Whether due to a virus or spyware, failing hard drive, or Windows corruption from any other cause, you need a Full System Reload. In this process, we recover your data, clean it, reload windows from scratch, and restore your data
and programs so you can get back on track, ASAP.
Let's go over in detail what's involved in this process:
1. Your operating system and data have been compromised. Your data needs to be
recovered and scanned for threats immediately.
Your data is this: Everything important to you on your computer.
This includes everything from documents, pictures, music, movies, emails, contacts,
databases, etc. to the programs you use every day. The first step in this process is to
recover and backup your data, scan it for threats, and remove these threats.
2. Windows is reloaded onto your computer. There is nothing like a fresh reload of windows
to restore performance to what you remember, just like you turned it on for the first time.
Over time, windows becomes cluttered in the "behind the scenes" operations that you see
as performance. A fresh reload restores performance to its' original state.
3. Drivers and updates. Drivers allow Windows to utilize your hardware; Your network card
that connects you to your network and the internet. Your video/display device, your
printer(s), etc… We then install all updates from Microsoft to ensure your system is
secure up to date, and performing at its' best.
4. We restore your recovered and cleaned data back to your computer, just as it was before.
Your emails and contacts from outlook, your documents, pictures, music, and desktop
items, etc... exactly as you remember. This includes any programs you use and need to
function every day.
* YOU CANNOT BACK UP A PROGRAM. ONLY THE DATA ASSOCIATED WITH A PROGRAM.
Data associated with a program can be backed up, but not the program that opens the data.
Example: A Microsoft Word document that you have saved. The program used to open that Word document is Microsoft Word, part of the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc…).
MS Word must be reinstalled after your system is restored in order to open that document. This is true for any program that opens a file you have saved. You cannot back up a program, only its' data. The program must be reinstalled after a reload. These software discs must be provided by you.
5. We deliver your restored computer to your location and set it up to work as you need. We
configure your network settings, make sure internet is functioning properly, configure and
share printers and devices, set up back ups, and ensure you are satisfied. No exceptions.
